The Network
All the websites in the Heartdrops network
I've never made a section like this on any of my websites. I usually just pop the links to the entire network in the sidebar of my websites, and that's it. So why not pop this on the wonderful Aquapheric?
This baby was my first-ever domain. It opened in October 2008. I love it very much, and of course, it's still open. It's my "main" site, where I blog and offer resources as well as some awesome site reviews.
Heartdrops is a huge site already. Tons of tutorials and content and reviews. I am so proud of how much it has grown. I have always wanted to make it even bigger, but since my domain obsession grew, I actually feel like making it smaller.
I love photography, and this is my photoblog (plog) where I blog one photo each day.
I adopted this domain, simply because I wanted one for "free", I guess you could say. I nearly didn't get it, because I was told that it wasn't fair since I already had a domain.
The name isn't the best name, but I'm happy with it. I tried to make it stand for "On 1 Shot". A little lame, but nevertheless alright.
This domain was given to me by the owner after she no longer wanted it. I was chosen amongst a small group of people who wanted it.
I kept this as a hosting site, as I wasn't entirely sure what to do with it. I also didn't want to modify the original website too much.
I'm not 100% happy with the domain name itself, but that isn't stopping me from keeping it. I am considering using it for my fanlistings project later on.
I registered this with a domain credit I won from NameCheap.com. This is where I place all my writings - poetry, narrative, essays, speeches - anything really.
I'm quite proud of this domain because of my writings, and the fact that I could keep it going. It only opened in March 2009, but I still find the time to add to it.
EyeThief is my fanlisting collective. It opened on the 25th April 2009.
I decided to register a new domain for my fanlistings, for two reasons.
I had joined many fanlistings, and they weren't fit enough (or organised enough) to stay on a small page situated at Heartdrops.org, my main domain. Also, I had been approved for my first fanlisting, Keep on Pickin' (the fanlisting for guitar picks/plectrums).
Following on with my domain obsession, I therefore registered EyeThief on the 24th April 2009. It is one of my favourite domains out of the ones I own, and is where I like to showcase my creativity in a subtle way, though the layouts of the website. I don't spend a lot of time working on the website, which is why I am pretty proud of myself of what I have done. I love EyeThief because of its simple but rocking layouts.
Powered by Tumblr, this is my random blog where I post anything that means something to me, anything I like - quotes, lyrics, photos, sometimes even mini blogs.
My friend Jeff bought me the domain as I had helped him win a few, so he offered me a .info TLD.
Meladori is the home of my "scribbles". During high school I had developed a terrible habit of doodling in my maths exercise book. That was where my scribble collection developed. I found myself being addicted to pencilling my page with doodles, drawings, words, and whatever came to mind.
Some years ago I decided to display my work on DeviantArt.com, but I lost interest in my account at that website. While people liked my work and commented, I felt like I wanted my scribbles to head off on their own and so, after winning a domain from my friend and host Kya, Meladori.info was registered on the 30th May 2009.
"Meladori" comes from the song Meladori Magpie, by one of my favourite bands The Smashing Pumpkins.
That's me on Twitter. I used to be very obsessed with updating here but now have stopped being so crazy. I know how annoying it can be for other people to be bombarded with tweets.
I won most of my Namecheap.com domains through their Twitter trivia contest.
I use Twitterfox to update on my laptop and desktop PC, and also update from my mobile phone. I use Twitterfeed.com to tweet updates to my blogs and portfolio.
Old nickname - don't ask.
I use the scrobbler at Last.fm with Windows Media Player. I never really liked Windows Media Player. I used to use RealPlayer, then found that the scrobbler wasn't compatible with it. Windows Media Player is less bloated than RealPlayer though, and loads faster.
No, I do not have an ipod so I don't see the point in iTunes.
